The RM of Edenwold is excited to announce the kick-off of an implementation plan for a new Business License Bylaw 2023-04 that will result in business licenses no longer being required to be renewed annually.
An update regarding business licensing in the RM was approved and the previous Business Bylaw 2020-02 has been repealed and replaced and is no longer considered to be active within the municipality.

The major takeaway for business owners from the newly implemented Business License Bylaw is understanding that the RM will be issuing new business licenses under this bylaw that do not expire for each business and there is no cost to apply for a business license unless a development permit is required.
“The steps for applying for a business license are simple and straightforward for your company or home-based business,” said Susan Stevenson, Planner/Development Officer with the RM of Edenwold. “The intention of the Municipality’s new Business License Bylaw was to increase clarity and efficiency of the process between the RM’s Administration and the local businesses.”
All existing businesses must submit a business license application to the Municipality for re-issue of their business license.
