The Rural Municipality (RM) of Edenwold No. 158 covers a diverse landscape of rural, urban, and suburban areas comprising of residential, commercial, industrial, and agricultural uses that make it a uniquely complex municipality full of opportunities. The RM allocated funds in the 2023 Budget for the completion of a Needs Assessment for three sites in the RM and under the ownership of the RM. The Request For Proposals (RFP) was awarded to Oxbow Architecture.
The three sites (map on reverse) that are the subject lands for this Needs Assessment are:
A. 100 Hutchence Road, Emerald Park
B. 13 Percival Drive, Emerald Park
C. Decommissioned Emerald Park Lagoons
The main objective of this Needs Assessment is the delivery of conceptual plans for each of the three RM-owned sites, with a focus on recreation and municipal service opportunities. This Needs Assessment is the first step in that process and aims to analyze existing infrastructure and services in Emerald Park, and the wider region, to determine the feasibility of various developments that have the potential to serve not just the residents of Emerald Park, but of the RM as a whole.
Public engagement throughout this process has been critical to understanding the needs and wants of the community. Thus far, this Needs Assessment has included an online survey, stakeholder group interviews, and now this printed and mailed survey to all the property owners within the municipality.
The package mailed out contains this cover letter, a survey, and a return envelope. Please complete the survey and mail it back to the RM office using the stamped envelope. In addition, you can drop off the survey at the RM office located at 100 Hutchence Road in Emerald or email it to info@edenwold-sk.ca
If you require additional copies of the survey please contact info@edenwold-sk.ca.
